I was severely disappointed to learn that you get the same gold reward for completing Ascalon Catacombs that you do for completing Arah. I honestly expect with all the complaints I've seen about bad dungeon drops and the general cost of things and the worthlessness of crafted items compared to the material costs to make them Anet will be buffing either how much money events/hearts give or the sell value of a lot of stuff within a few weeks. The only trouble is the market for them might not last.
There are also certain sigils that can be made that sell for roughly double the material costs to make them, as well. The key to that guys farm though is that you're not doing any one specific event or farming any one specific spot over and over thus preventing those anti-farming defenses from triggering.
